Dave Landey
Hi I am Dave and have the honour and pleasure of leading this group. I have been a greyhound owner for 13 years now and in that time I have been owned by 5 different greyhounds. In my “spare” time I work full time for West Midlands Ambulance Service as an Ambulance Technician now as I am heading towards my retirement but have in the past worked up to the level of an Advanced Paramedic on the rapid response vehicles.
Nothing gives me greater pleasure than waking up in the morning and seeing a campsite full to the brim with our lovely members. Those of you who have attended meets will have regularly seen my emotions welling up as I look at a big group of gathered members stood in front of me at a coffee morning or before our mass walk. Never in a million years when I set the group up did I think I would have a group with over 7000 members all over the world, supported by the one and only Richard Skipworth.
I am supported with my great admin team who help make those important decisions about the group but also by my lovely patient and forgiving wife Hazel who allows me the time to set up and organise the meets as well as obvioulsly supporting me at the meets themselves. I also have a 15 year old daughter Yeva who comes to most meets with us and she has recently taken over the running of the group instagram account.
Norman Worth
Hello everyone, my name is Norman and I joined CACWGAS back in 2022. At the time of liking the idea of joining a group of like minded people having been owned by greyhounds and whippets since 2009. My wife Jane was a trustee of a local greyhound rescue in Bristol we ended up having 4 greyhounds and whippets in a small converted vauxhall vivaro van (self conversion). Prior to retiring we moved up to a motor home, expensive mobile kennel 😂 where at one point we did have 6 dogs which were mix of Sighthounds. For my sins Dave has pulled me into his admin team where things can get busy when Dave comes up with new ideas and arranges new venues to have fabulous meets at. So to all of you thinking of joining CACWGAS all I can say is “JUST DO IT ” you’ll not regret it so welcome.

Lynn Stevens
Hi. I’m Lynne and currently live in Solihull. I joined the admin team a few years ago when my husband and I had a caravan which we towed with a VW campervan. We didn’t get to go on a first meet because of lockdown. Unfortunately my husband was then taken very ill in 2021 and we tragically lost him in November 2021. We’d been so looking forward to going to Croft that year. My first meet was Plassey 2022. I was determined to stay with the group despite no longer having the camper or caravan so I stayed in a tent with another admin and have since been to Croft and Love2Stay in pods or glamping. There are many ways of being part of this wonderful group. I’m a self employed Costs Lawyer, a rather niche area of the law which I love. I have 3 greyhounds – Skip, Sam and Nadie – and a 27 year old son who are my world. If I’ve learnt anything after losing Simon it’s that life is for living and I try to live it to the full with new experiences. I look forward to meeting group members old and new very soon
Trina Swan
Hi, I’m Trina, an admin for the wonderful CACWGAS group. I’m not quite sure how that happened but I’m glad it did!
I live in Wiltshire with my very lovely wife, Ali and our two lurchers Banjo (the old boy) and Button (the nutter!)
We’ve owned lurchers since 1996 B&B are our 4th & 5th. I can’t imagine us with any other breed than that with a sighthound/longdog somewhere in the mix! We love a 30mph couch potato!
In my day job I’m a stunt passenger (aka Driving examiner ). I absolutely love my job!
Ali and I have been together for 31 years and have been ‘married’ (to each other) 3 times!
My other hobbies/interests/likes involve eating, drinking, spending time with family and friends, walking with family, friends and our hounds. I also support the LGBTQ+ community in any way I can. We’ve come a long way but there’s still a long way to go

Cez Selio
Hi. I am Cez. I live in Newport, South Wales.I am married to Dwayne, who supports nearly all of my crazy ideas. I have four children, Kyle, 22, Elizabeth, 21, Nina is 16 and Isaac who is 11. I have three greyhounds, Barley, Bronny and Brynley. Its like having toddlers in the house sometimes with the mischief they cause.
We love going away in our caravan up and down the country. One of our favourite visits is in Tavistock, the hounds really love being up on the moors. We especially enjoy our group meet ups throughout the year.
When i’m not sorting out kids and/or hounds I work part time at Citizens Advice. I love to learn, I am currently studying bookkeeping as well as ICDL (microsoft).
I have recently started playing netball again…what a stupid way to confirm how unfit i am !! I teach myself to play the violin(which i am 100% sure the hounds love), a keen gardener and wildlife fan. A self proclaimed expert on bees, especially Bumblebees. Longterm goal is to have my own bee hive.
We really look forward to seeing you at one of the groups amazing meet ups where a warm welcome awaits you
Natalie & Kevin Peacock
Hi Natalie & Kevin here,
You will usually find us selling the raffle tickets and pestering you for your donation.
We joined CACWGAS back in 2019. I messaged Dave asking if he needed any raffle donations. Oh, what a mistake that was!!
No, just kidding! We truly enjoy the support of the group, passing the word around about our amazing group every time we bump into someone with a pointy nose on a leash.
Kev and I have been married for 32 years and have owned sighthounds for many of those years. We currently have two Salukis rehomed through Forever Hounds Trust and one through a Facebook rehoming page for sighthounds. Oh, do they rule us? Our son thinks they are more spoilt than he was… and I think he may be right !
Sadly, we don’t go out touring in our caravan anymore. we have taken the easy life and now have a seasonal pitch in Dorset, which the dogs love going to.
If you see us around at Tewkesbury, just pop over and say hello.
Nat & Kev x

Darren Finley
Hi, I’m Darren, the latest addition to the CACWGAS team!
I live in South Yorkshire with Theresa and (until recently) our gorgeous dog, Teide.
After losing Teide in August, our friends Peter and Keri Genari persuaded us to join them at the Croft Meet. We fell in love with Sighthounds and the community that loves and supports them. What could be better than camping and dogs as a combo?!
Well it wasn’t long before we found Vera, a beautiful Whippet from Sunderland!
I’ve been a soldier, a revenue inspector on the trains, a police officer, a digital marketing specialist and a special needs teaching assistant. Those experiences have now neatly rolled into one to follow my ambition to be a to help others with mental health issues. By training to be a solution-focused hypnotherapist and run my own clinical practice. I will qualify to do that in June 2025 (🤞🏻).
Working with clients during training is amazing, whilst being supervised and completing my portfolio. I look forward to helping Dave and the team in any way I can and getting to know lots of you at future meets!
